A powerful new approach to studying limb movement

Dr. Stephen Scott is the inventor of the patented robotic exoskeleton, KINARM™ [www.bkintechnologies.com], a powerful new tool to assess how the brain controls movement. By applying and quantifying loads to the shoulder and elbow independently, the technology can both sense and perturb multi-joint movements of the arm. The technology's ability to objectively quantify motor performance for a variety of sensorimotor tasks makes it ideal as a clinical tool to diagnose, monitor and rehabilitate patients with motor disorders. KINARM™ is now in use at research facilities across North America.
